The SOFI Knowledge Map will aggregate SOFI research activities (electronic lab notebooks), publication and IP data, techno-economic analyses, policy findings, market trends and insights, and intellectual contributions by Members. The many facets of the SOFI Knowledge Map will each require different data for input and also provide different insights. The successful Knowledge Map will then graphically illustrate the connectedness of the inputted data, independent of source or form. The Knowledge Mapping process will identify and categorize knowledge assets within SOFI and the solar fuels research areas—people, processes, content, and technology. This process will enable SOFI to leverage existing knowledge resident within the SOFI network, recruit new expertise as needed, and identify barriers and constraints to fulfilling strategic goals and objectives. The goal of the Knowledge Map is to connect information and knowledge with the right people at the right time. SOFI Management will develop and maintain the Knowledge Map, and it will be accessible to all Core and Supporting Members.
